Earthlink Blacklists their OWN IP addresses.... Posted 12.14.2004 @ 14:01:02 EST by Deuce
Get this...
I run a little personal mail server at home on Sprint DSL, dynamic IP. From a remote location, I sent an email to an Earthlink subscriber (Sprint) elsewhere. Of course, my mail client bounces off of my mail server on the DSL (Sprint). Earthlink blocked the mail. Here is what they had to say:
Hello,
Our MX servers do not accept connections from any IP address known
to be dynamically assigned, even our own. You should route your
outbound e-mail through our provided SMTP servers. This will prevent
these errors.
Regards,
