We extend Condolences... Posted 1.17.2003 @ 12:03:28 EST by Deuce
We here at Interflex Technologies would like to extend our deepest regrets and condolences to the family of Bob Van Denend. According to an email I just received from iXorg,

We are greatly saddened at the news that Bob Van Denend,
our Vice President, President of UniWorks, Inc, Durham, NC,
died early this Friday morning when his vehicle left the
road on a sharp turn and crashed into trees. I was told
by his neighbor that he died at the scene. Checking the
weather conditions, snow and freezing rain had been
reported just a few hours earlier.

I knew Bob from when he contracted at a job I held in 1997. He was a fine man and a hard worker, always willing to extend a hand to his collegues in the Unix world. He gave me some good advice when I was starting Interflex Technologies. I feel for his family, and in this community, he will be sorely missed.

SCO's new products Posted 1.13.2003 @ 16:31:13 EST by Deuce
SCO has recently released some new products - SCO Linux 4.0 and Unix Ware 7.1.3. I have loaded up SCO Linux server 4.0 and played with it some, but the Interflextech.biz project is taking most of my time right now. I have not loaded UW713 yet. Keep watching here for opinions and updates from my perspective. I also have a copy of the new Volution messaging server - that, and the new ABS POS system are the primary reasons I loaded Linux first :)
